Effective 29 July 2026
Terms of use
These terms govern your use of Mythic Studio. They are written to be read, not merely scrolled past.
1. About the service
Mythic Studio is an online creative writing service operated under the name Mythic AI (“Mythic”, “we”, “us”). It provides tools for worldbuilding, character development, AI-assisted scene exploration, manuscript writing, and editorial review.
Contact us about these terms at [email protected].
2. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If the law where you live requires permission from a parent or guardian, you must have it.
3. Your account
Give us accurate account information, keep your password secure, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from our failure to use reasonable care.
One person must not use the service to impersonate another, evade restrictions, interfere with security, scrape the service, or access content they have not been invited to see.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to Mythic. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service for you. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backups and records we must retain by law.
You must have the rights needed to submit your content. Do not use the service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights. Fan works remain subject to the rights of the original creators and any rules they publish.
5. AI-generated material
Scene Lab uses generative AI. Its output may be inaccurate, inconsistent, unsuitable, or similar to material produced for other people. Output is a creative suggestion, not professional advice or a guarantee of originality. Review and edit it before publishing, sharing, or relying on it.
You are responsible for the final work you choose to keep. Mythic does not claim ownership of generated output as between you and us, but the law may not grant exclusive rights in every AI-generated element.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Mythic to:
- break the law or help another person do so;
- exploit, sexualise, groom, or endanger a child or create sexual content involving minors;
- make credible threats, facilitate targeted abuse, or expose private personal information;
- distribute malware, defeat safeguards, overload the service, or probe systems without permission; or
- present AI output as verified fact where doing so could materially harm someone.
Fiction may explore difficult subjects. Context matters, but creative framing does not excuse unlawful or harmful use.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Mythic available, but do not promise uninterrupted service or permanent availability of any model or feature. We may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service for security, legal, operational, or product reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice of material changes that affect saved work.
Keep your own copies of work you cannot afford to lose. An online writing service should not be your only backup.
8. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Mythic at any time. You can ask us to close your account by emailing the address above. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address a serious breach of these terms. We will act proportionately and explain the reason where we legally and practically can.
9. Responsibility and legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
To the extent the law permits, Mythic is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, lost opportunities, or losses caused by content you submit, AI output you choose to use, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control. If you use Mythic for business purposes, you are responsible for deciding whether it meets your professional, regulatory, and backup requirements.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections and right to bring a claim in the courts available to you under the law where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. We will publish the new effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes. Continuing to use the service after the new terms take effect means you accept them.
