What is Mythic Studio?
Mythic Studio is a creative writing workspace for building a world, developing its cast and lore, exploring multi-character scenes with an AI collaborator, and shaping the results into a manuscript.
Who is it for?
It is designed for novelists, short-story writers, fanfiction writers, roleplayers, and anyone who discovers a story by putting characters into motion. The manuscript workspace currently focuses on prose.
Can a scene include more than one character?
Yes. Add the characters who are present, give each one a scene objective, and let their established voice and knowledge inform the response.
Can I write as one of my characters?
Yes. Choose any participating character from the role control beneath the scene. While you hold that role, Mythic will not supply that character’s dialogue, decisions, thoughts, or actions.
What do Director, Ask Scene, and Narrator do?
Director steers what happens next. Ask Scene examines the current situation without advancing it. Narrator lets you contribute descriptive prose. You can switch between them and your characters at any time.
Does everything generated in Scene Lab become canon?
No. Scene runs are exploratory. Nothing is automatically added to the manuscript or promoted into lore. You choose what the story keeps.
Can I change an earlier scene message?
Yes. Editing an earlier message creates a revised run from that point. The original run remains available, so experimentation does not erase its history.
How does the lorebook affect a scene?
You can pin essential entries to a scene. Mythic also matches lore names, aliases, and tags found in the scene and uses the relevant context when generating the next beat.
Is my work public?
No. Worlds, cast, lore, scene runs, and manuscripts are private to your account unless you deliberately invite someone into a review.
Does Mythic send my writing to another AI provider?
Scene generation normally uses Mythic’s privately operated model service. If that service is unavailable, Mythic may send the context needed for that request through OpenRouter and one of its model providers. The Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
Who owns what I write?
You keep ownership of the content you submit and the rights you have in it. AI output can be unpredictable and may resemble existing material, so you are responsible for reviewing anything you publish or rely on.
Can I use Mythic for fanfiction?
You can use the writing tools for fan works, but Mythic does not grant rights to someone else’s characters or setting. You are responsible for following the law and the relevant rights holder’s rules when sharing or commercialising a work.
